Absorbable thread lifts
Aesthetic medicineAbsorbable thread lifts offer a non-invasive solution to the problem of sagging skin, commonly seen in the face, neck and décolleté. The thread lift technique, often referred to as a ‘light lift’, is effectively a non-surgical facelift that provides a quick and simple way to reshape and rejuvenate tissues that tend to sag over time. This alternative to surgical facelifts is becoming increasingly popular amongst those who wish to achieve a younger, more toned appearance without having to undergo the lengthy recovery associated with more invasive procedures.

Not everyone is suitable for this treatment. The main contraindications include pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infections or inflammation in the area to be treated, autoimmune conditions or diseases that affect skin healing, keloid scars (hypertrophic scars), the use of anticoagulants or conditions affecting blood clotting, and allergies to the materials used in the threads.
The side effects of the treatment are generally mild and temporary, but may include swelling and redness in the treated areas, bruising, pain or discomfort in the first few hours or days following treatment, and a feeling of tightness in the skin due to the lifting effect of the threads. These effects usually resolve spontaneously within a few days or weeks. Our aesthetic doctors will be able to provide advice on how to minimise post-treatment discomfort.
The thread lift treatment offered by AraMedica is safe as it is carried out by qualified professionals. However, it is important to bear in mind that the procedure carries certain risks, such as possible allergic reactions and the threads potentially shifting out of place. For this reason, to minimise some of these risks, it is important to consult a qualified and experienced cosmetic doctor.
The cost of a biostimulation thread treatment varies depending on the area being treated, the number of sessions and the number of threads required. AraMedica offers discounted packages for multiple sessions, which help to reduce the overall cost.
