Labiaplasty

Plastic surgery

Labiaplasty is a cosmetic vaginal surgery procedure that corrects structural changes in the female genital area, whether caused by genetics, ageing or childbirth, such as elongated, sagging or asymmetrical labia minora. Consequently, labiaplasty helps to alleviate the physical discomfort that can arise during everyday activities such as wearing certain clothes, participating in sports and engaging in sexual activity, whilst also improving emotional well-being and self-confidence.

The cost of labiaplasty at AraMedica Lecce can range from €2,000 to €3,000 and includes pre-operative consultations, the procedure itself, any necessary clinical tests and post-operative follow-up.

As with any surgical procedure, labiaplasty also carries certain risks, albeit rare ones. The main risks include bruising or excessive swelling, visible or abnormal scarring, and changes in sensation in the area where the operation was performed.

Labiaplasty is usually performed under local anaesthetic with sedation, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. After the operation, it is common to experience mild pain or discomfort in the treated area, particularly in the first few days. This pain can usually be managed with painkillers prescribed by the surgeon and tends to subside within a week.

Following labiaplasty, your AraMedica surgeon will provide you with specific instructions to ensure proper healing. You will be advised, for example, to keep the area clean and dry, avoid wearing tight clothing or materials that could irritate the operated area, apply specific ointments or gels prescribed by your doctor to aid healing, and avoid hot baths and swimming pools until you have fully recovered.
