Arm lift

Plastic surgery

Brachioplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to reshape the arms, removing excess skin and, in some cases, fat, which is responsible for the typical ‘batwing’ appearance. It is particularly recommended following significant weight loss, in cases of localised fat deposits, or where tissue laxity has occurred due to skin ageing. This condition results in an uneven and unsightly arm contour, disrupting the harmony of the silhouette.

Of course, AraMedica offers the option of financing through monthly instalments.

Scars are usually located on the inner side of the arm and tend to fade over time. Carefully following the post-operative instructions helps to ensure optimal healing and minimal scarring.

As with any surgical procedure, brachioplasty carries risks such as infection, bleeding, seromas, noticeable scarring or uneven skin texture. Prevention and adherence to medical advice are essential to minimise these risks.

A return to normal light activities usually takes place within 1–2 weeks, whereas for strenuous physical activity, it is advisable to wait at least 4–6 weeks. Any residual swelling gradually subsides, with the results stabilising completely after a few months.
