Analytical laboratory
AraMedica has its own in-house laboratory in Lecce. The laboratory carries out highly specialised clinical tests to support the plastic and maxillofacial surgery procedures performed at the clinic.
Our on-site laboratory offers a wide range of routine and specialist tests essential for monitoring general health, identifying any deficiencies or specific issues, and providing support in the planning of personalised treatments.
Thanks to facilities equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and a highly qualified and competent medical and technical staff, AraMedica provides increasingly accurate clinical data quickly, with the utmost precision and in accordance with the highest standards. In addition to blood tests – among the most common routine examinations – AraMedica is able to offer specialist investigations based on the patient’s needs and their treatment plan.
Un altro importante strumento diagnostico disponibile presso il nostro centro è la radiografia, tecnica basata sull’utilizzo di raggi X (radiazioni ionizzanti) per analizzare diverse strutture anatomiche come l’apparato respiratorio, osteoarticolare e gli organi addominali.
La prestazione è effettuata per uso interno a supporto degli interventi di chirurgia plastica e maxillo facciale per migliorare i risultati terapeutici e ridurre i tempi di recupero.

One of the clinic’s key strengths is its diagnostic imaging department in Lecce, which offers advanced technologies capable of providing accurate visualisation of the body’s internal structures, useful for identifying abnormalities or injuries, or for monitoring the progress of a course of treatment or a surgical procedure.
In particular, the ultrasound scan performed at the AraMedica Lecce diagnostic centre is a non-invasive technique in high demand among patients, used to obtain accurate information and images regarding the health of organs, glands, subcutaneous structures, muscles and tendons through the use of ultrasound waves emitted by a special probe. Ultrasound is a safe procedure and does not use ionising radiation.
The diagnostic imaging equipment available at Aramedica also includes the Samsung HERA W10 ultrasound scanner (an acronym for Hyper-aperture and Enhanced Reconstruction Architecture), an ultrasound platform capable of delivering images of the highest quality. Thanks to the new Crystal Architecture imaging system, which combines CrystalBeam™ and CrystalLive™ in the latest-generation S-Vue™ transducer, the scan provides high-quality, clear, noise-free 2D images and high-resolution 3D animations with a realistic sense of depth, ensuring a more accurate diagnosis.
Bone densitometry, also known as BMD (bone mineral density), is a painless radiological examination that measures the mineral density (calcium salts) in our bones. It is used for the prevention and monitoring of osteoporosis, but its applications extend beyond this: BMD offers a wide range of uses, such as in orthopaedics and paediatrics.
At Aramedica, this examination is performed using the Stratos dR, a state-of-the-art device that combines reliability and speed. Equipped with a 256-pixel 2D Fan Beam detector, it captures high-resolution images in a very short scanning time, ensuring an optimal and rapid diagnosis.
The device also provides comprehensive and accurate assessments of body composition, analysing lean and fat mass throughout the body
