Laser Hair Removal
Aesthetic medicineLaser hair removal is a cosmetic treatment that provides a long-lasting solution to unwanted hair.
Laser hair removal tackles the problem at its root by acting on the hair bulb, drastically reducing hair regrowth over time. Thanks to its effectiveness, this technique is used by both women and men to treat various areas of the body, such as the legs, underarms, bikini line, face and back.
But the laser isn’t just for removing the unsightly appearance of unwanted hair.
The skin benefits overall, becoming smoother and softer, and finally free from the risk of folliculitis, inflammation, ingrown hairs and cysts.

FAQ On: Laser Hair Removal
Below you’ll find the questions we’re asked most often, but if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
There are certain situations in which laser hair removal is not recommended or should be carried out with caution. The treatment is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding; if the skin is tanned, as this may increase the risk of burns or hyperpigmentation; if you are taking photosensitising medication; if you have active skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis or infections) or chronic skin problems; or if you have tattoos.
The duration of each session varies depending on the area of the body being treated: from a small area (such as the upper lip or underarms), which usually takes a maximum of 15 minutes, to a large area (such as the legs or back), which may take up to an hour. Generally, several sessions are required to achieve optimal results, usually between 6 and 8 sessions. The exact number depends on skin type, hair colour and thickness.
The cost of laser hair removal varies depending on the area being treated and the technology used. At AraMedica, prices start at €30 for small areas and go up to a few hundred euros for a full treatment. Discounted packages are available for multiple sessions, helping to reduce the overall cost of the treatment.
The sensation of pain during laser hair removal is subjective and can vary depending on an individual’s pain tolerance, as well as the area of the body being treated. It is generally described as a tingling sensation or a ‘snapping’ feeling on the skin. Some modern lasers are equipped with built-in cooling systems that help to reduce discomfort.
Laser hair removal carried out by AraMedica is safe as it is performed by qualified professionals. However, some mild and temporary side effects may occur, such as redness and swelling in the treated area, and skin irritation similar to a sunburn, which may last for a few hours.
