Specialist medical consultation

An examination carried out by a surgeon specialised in trichology. It covers your medical history, the examination of the scalp, the assessment of the donor area and of your suitability for the procedure. It is the only pathway that leads to a medical indication.

Before you book

Can I get a diagnosis by talking to a consultant?

No. The consultant provides information on techniques, timing and costs. The assessment of suitability and the treatment indication are given by the doctor following the examination.

Is the informational consultation free?

Yes, and it is without obligation. It does not include a clinical examination or an assessment of your suitability for the procedure.

Can I also book online for the other specialties?

For now, online booking covers the hair transplant consultation. For the clinic’s other specialties, the examination is booked through reception.

I live far from Lecce: do I have to come to the clinic for the assessment?

No, a specialist video consultation is available. The clinical platform generates a three-dimensional model that allows the doctor to examine the anatomy, calculate graft density and plan the procedure remotely.

How are the photographs I send handled?

Images and clinical data are special category data, protected under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). They are collected through channels that meet the security and confidentiality obligations required of healthcare providers.
