Alessandro Pizza

Biography

Dr Alessandro Pizza is a surgeon specialising in Anaesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Management. He graduated with distinction from the Campus Bio-Medico in Rome in 2012, completed his specialisation in 2018 (at the Catholic University) and obtained a Level II Master’s degree in Pain Management in Parma (2021). 

During his career, he has participated as an anaesthetist in over 2,100 surgical procedures across various specialities, including maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, urology, orthopaedics, vascular surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, neurosurgery and other disciplines.

He has also gained extensive experience in pain management, performing more than 700 procedures using advanced techniques of neuroablation, peripheral and ganglionic neuromodulation, as well as analgesic joint injections with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma).

The use of PRP has yielded significant results in the treatment of joint conditions and chronic pain syndromes, improving patients’ quality of life and reducing the need for more invasive solutions.

He is actively involved in clinical research projects dedicated to developing innovative approaches to the management of chronic and complex pain, in accordance with the latest scientific protocols.

  • 2012: Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery, awarded by the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome with a grade of 110/110 with distinction
  • 2018: Specialisation in Anaesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Management, obtained from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, with a grade of 50/50 with distinction
  • 2021: Level II Master’s Degree in Pain Management, obtained from the University of Parma with a grade of 110/110
