A concentrate of energy for your hair
Our blood already contains the adequate response to a dangerous situation or when faced with an injury. It just needs the right "push". An example is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), a cell regeneration treatment that exploits the cell rebuilding properties of blood.
Used in Europe, the United States and the Far East for many years in different fields, PRP is a concentrate of blood plasma (platelets, growth factors, leukocytes and cytokines) which is injected into the areas of the patient that need it.
Used to speed up the healing of wounds and soft tissues, it is one of the few non-surgical tools that manages to be very effective in the treatment of thinning hair and androgenetic alopecia as it is able to stimulate tissue regeneration.
In conjunction with the hair transplant, PRP helps to enhance the results of the operation by aiding the post-operative healing process.
How does it work
The technique with which it is obtained involves the centrifugation of autologous blood (i.e. taken from the same patient) and blood centrifugation with the aim of separating the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other blood components.
The PRP is then infiltrated into the scalp. In the case of post-transplantation, it is injected both in the areas where the new follicles have been grafted and in the adjacent ones, to guarantee stimulation also for the bulbs already present before the transplantation.
