Baldness is just a memory
A healthy and strong hair is an indication of health and well-being. But what happens when the years go by, hormonal or hereditary factors affect the hair?
Hair transplantation is currently the most effective and long-lasting remedy for androgenetic alopecia, a disease that affects about 80% of men and 50% of women.
With a minimally invasive, painless and safe operation, it is therefore possible to recover the hair of the past and find one's own image in the mirror.
Although it is necessary to wait 8-10 months to admire the definitive result and the natural effect, after just 3 months it is possible to notice the first results.
How does it work
The hair transplant consists in the transfer of hair bulbs from a donor area - the nape, where hair is generally resistant to baldness - to the area that needs intervention. There are two techniques that allow you to do this - both effective, safe and minimally invasive: FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation).
What differs is the methodology behind it. In the FUE technique, the individual units taken are stored in a special solution before being grafted into the channels created in the area affected by alopecia.
In DHI the two processes of creating the canals and grafting take place in a single phase, thanks to the use of special needles called implanters which allow the harvested hair to be transplanted directly.
The operation takes place in a day hospital regimen with local anesthesia preceded by the application of a light sedation. The administration of the analgesic active ingredient allows the patient to be conscious and relaxed during the procedure and not to feel any discomfort. The duration of the operation varies according to the area requiring intervention and the technique used, and varies between 4 and 6 hours.
